This is not a group class—it’s a one-on-one private coaching experience tailored entirely to your individual level.

What to expect Surf Lesson Las Penitas? 

Expect an engaging, confidence-building, and incredibly fun session from start to finish. You’ll begin on land, where your instructor teaches you how to position yourself on the board, how to paddle efficiently, and the correct way to pop up. You will also learn how to stay safe and read the waves. A unique part of this experience is practicing on our surf simulator, which helps you build essential muscle memory before hitting the ocean. Once you feel ready, you will head out to surf the best spot of the day in Las Peñitas. Your instructor will be right by your side, from your very first attempt to the moment you stand up on a wave. Most students leave the water smiling, proud, and completely hooked on surfing.

Is this a group lesson or a private session?

This is a strictly private, one-on-one coaching experience. We do not run this as a group class because we want to ensure the session is tailored entirely to your personal pace and skill level with direct feedback.

Do I need to bring my own surfing equipment?

Everything you need is included in the experience. We provide the surfboard for the lesson and a rash guard (surf shirt) to keep you comfortable. We even provide a refreshing drink for you to enjoy after your time in the water.

What will I learn during the land-based portion of the training?

Before entering the water, you will master the fundamentals on our surf simulator. Your instructor will teach you the correct pop-up technique, efficient paddling, proper board positioning, and essential ocean safety rules to ensure you feel confident.

Who will be my instructor for this experience?

Your session will be led by a professional English-speaking instructor from Dale Pues Surf School. They will be with you every step of the way to ensure a high-quality, safe, and supportive environment as you learn to surf.
