Part 1: Colonial Beauty and Water Adventures
Day 1: Granada - The pearl of the colonial era
Our journey begins in the historic heart of Nicaragua: Granada. After a brief introduction, you'll be taken on a walking tour of the city, where you'll discover the vibrant culture and stories behind its colorful architecture. After lunch, we'll take a boat tour of Las Isletas, an archipelago of over 360 volcanic islets in Lake Nicaragua. Here you'll enjoy dinner and a breathtaking sunset on one of the islands.
Day 2: Granada - Volcanic majesty
After a Nica-style breakfast, we'll take a beautiful hike on the Mombacho Volcano, one of the country's few cloud forests. The hike is filled with unique flora and fauna and offers spectacular views. In the afternoon, we'll relax at the crystal-clear crater lake of Laguna de Apoyo, where you can swim and enjoy the sun and tranquility.
Day 3-4: The mystical archipelago
Early in the morning, we'll travel to Solentiname, a remote and artistic archipelago in Lake Nicaragua. Along the way, we'll explore the Los Guatuzos Nature Reserve, a paradise for nature lovers. On Solentiname, you'll dive deep into the local culture, visit artisans, and learn about the special history of the island community. On Day 4, we'll travel to the lively coastal town of San Juan del Sur, where we'll watch the sunset from the iconic Christ of Mercy statue.
Day 5: The Pacific vibes

Day 10-11: The mountains call

The next day, we'll travel further into the mountains and spend the night in a cozy cabin, surrounded by coffee plantations.
Day 12-14: Canyons and cigars
Today is dedicated to the Macizo volcano, where we'll hike through the cloud forest and enjoy breathtaking views. After visiting Nicaragua's first and only strawberry plantation, we'll travel to Somoto. The next day, an epic adventure awaits: canyoning in the Somoto Canyon, where you'll swim, hike, and climb rocks. The trip ends in Estelí, the cigar capital of the country, where you'll learn all about the art of tobacco.
Part 3: The finale in León
Day 15: The dragon of fire
From Estelí, we'll travel to the intellectual capital of Nicaragua, León. After a city tour, we'll drive to the Telica Volcano for a sunset you'll never forget. We'll look into the smoking crater and witness the impressive spectacle of the lava flows.
Day 16: Adrenaline in León
The morning is free to explore León, with its museums and lively student life. In the afternoon, the most famous activity is on the agenda: volcano boarding on Cerro Negro. After the adrenaline rush, we'll end the day with a bonfire and marshmallows at the volcano's edge.
Day 17: Water & farewell
