Itinerary in detail

Day 1: Arrival in León

Your journey begins in León, the intellectual and bohemian capital of Nicaragua. After checking into your hotel, you’ll embark on a walking city tour. Your guide will take you through the vibrant streets, showing you the magnificent cathedral and the authentic local markets, where you can feel the rhythm of daily life.

Day 2: Volcanoes of the Pacific

Today is all about volcanoes. In the afternoon, we'll head to the Telica Volcano for a spectacular sunset hike. You'll stand at the rim of the active crater and, if you're lucky, glimpse the glowing lava. The real adventure awaits at Cerro Negro, Nicaragua's youngest volcano, where you'll experience the adrenaline rush of volcano boarding—sliding down the black sands of an active volcano.

Day 3: Journey to the Colonial Gem

After breakfast, we'll travel to the colonial city of Granada. The scenic drive will take you through diverse landscapes, offering a perfect opportunity to see more of Nicaragua's countryside. Upon arrival, you'll have time to settle in and enjoy the charming atmosphere of this beautiful city.

Day 4: Exploring Granada and Las Isletas

The day begins with a walking tour of Granada, where you'll discover its colorful architecture, historic plazas, and the famous churches that define its colonial heritage. In the afternoon, we’ll take a boat tour of Las Isletas, the archipelago of volcanic islands in Lake Nicaragua. Day 5: The Majestic Island of Ometepe

Today we travel to the island of Ometepe, famous for its two impressive volcanoes. We'll cross on the iconic ferry and upon arrival, you'll enjoy a kayak tour on the serene Rio Istian, a peaceful river that meanders through mangroves and offers incredible wildlife-spotting opportunities. Day 6: Sweet Water and a Sweet Treat
