This route is perfectly balanced to give you a complete canyon experience without demanding a full day of commitment.

The Essential Canyon Route

This tour is suitable for all able-bodied individuals (ages 5 to 75) who are comfortable in the water. You will transition seamlessly between different modes of travel: walking the banks, wading through shallow sections, and floating/swimming through the deep, narrow gorges of the Río Coco, the headwaters of Central America's longest river. The route is an approved geotour, showcasing unique igneous and volcanic rock samples.

Adrenaline jumps!

For the thrill-seekers, the route features designated safe spots for jumps. Jumps start low (around one meter) and can go up to 20 meters if conditions are suitable and safe! If you prefer not to jump, simply advise your guide who will show you easy, safe alternative routes to proceed down the canyon.

Safety and equipment

Your safety is our priority. We include all necessary safety equipment: a high-quality life jacket, a waterproof dry bag for your small essentials (phone, wallet), and protective river shoes. After the exhilarating adventure, you will enjoy a delicious local lunch to refuel before concluding the tour.
